Winter Aconites

A cool fresh day, with hints of sunshine. On my own in the morning as partner has gone out to see an exhibition. So a morning walk on my own. I take this opportunity to photograph the Winter Aconites that appeared over the past week. No views across to Fife as it is too misty.

The sun did come out during the afternoon. After work, partner and I do a shorter Braidburn Valley Park walk. The promise of a nice sunset never materialised. But it does feel pretty cold, so expect a severe frost tonight.

A sad evening though. Our male cat Ziggy didn't show up for his tea. We got a phone call from the SSPCA to say that he had been hit by a car not far from our house. The person who had called the SSPCA had moved Ziggy off the road, stayed with him as he passed away, and waited for the animal rescue officer to arrive.
