Another Glendale squirrel
Wednesday
First of all, let me thank everyone who stopped by yesterday to offer congratulations, stars and hearts on my 4000th blip, which got me onto the first page of the Popular pages, which rarely happens for me -:so many thanks.
It was a frigid start to the day, we dropped down to about 2 F ( - 17 C) and it wasn’t much warmer than that when we first woke up. We warmed up to a high of 19 F ( minus 8 C). Fortunately tomorrow we begin to warm up slightly - actually getting above freezing by Saturday! Meanwhile they’ve been having snow in northern Florida and Alabama - crazy! We both had medical appointments at about 10am - R for a follow-up visit for his eye, and me for my annual wellness visit with the doctor. I was back within the hour, but R’s appointment as always took much longer - a lot of waiting involved.
In the afternoon we took our exercise swimming at the fitness center, which fortunately is nice and warm, and the water is a comfortable temperature too. I managed 54 lengths today! On the way back we made a slight detour into the historic Glendale neighbourhood, so I could photograph another of their fiberglass squirrels for my blip. This one is called The Open Road. Then it was back to our warm house for a hot cup of tea, and more knitting and reading.
