lots of tension in lots of people today

Everyone will be off. Everyone will be weird. People will not be ok. 

I saw the Bob Dylan movie tonight. Cool thing - movies are half off on Tuesdays! Salas, they didn’t have the lights of the neat art deco building on. The parking lot is no longer a parking lot. It is now surrounded by tall buildings to make the most of the location next to the metro. 

The music made me think of Lisa’s mom because she listened to this, and of my mom, who surely listened to this, and of my childhood listening to this. 

The friend I saw the movie with was off. During the song The Times They are a Changing’ I realized she was off and why she was off and when the movie ended I told her I was sorry she’d had a bad day, that it was a bad day.

The song made me hopeful. Things will get very, very bad, but then we’ll swing and everyone still alive will make them better again. Probably. We’ve gone through horrors before when it seemed like we would not survive. We survived the Cuban missile crisis. 

Ukraine used drones to attack the Smolensk Aviation Plant. It makes attack aircraft. They attacked an oil refinery in the same Oblast. Local airports in some towns were delaying flights because they’ve implemented a plan for when unidentified objects appear in the sky. 

These attacks on military supplies are having an impact. The Institute for the Study of War said Russia has lost the equivalent of five divisions worth of combat vehicles. They are losing equipment and personnel massively and only gaining inches. A Ukrainian military commander said Russia was losing up to 90% of vehicles in assaults in the Donetsk region. The Institute for the Study of War said Russia could be losing 3000 armored fighting vehicles each year. Ukraine then repairs and reuses damaged or captured tanks. A locomotive providing logistics for the Russian army was destroyed in St. Petersburg. It was transporting weapons, ammunition, and other military equipment. The Ukrainian commander in chief said that Russian shell usage has practically halved for months. There were intercepted communications between Russian soldiers that indicates a group can’t get food and there are no prospects for getting them food. (Surrender already.)
