Long tailed Tit

I was really pleased to look out of the bedroom window this morning and see a handful of very cute long tailed tits fluttering around the willow arch.  I had to locate my camera and long lens in different parts of the house and then take this through the glass as they would have disappeared if I had opened the window.  Tony has seen them several times recently so it is reassuring that they are still in the area.  I also spotted the wren in and out of the old wall but was too late to blip it.

I returned to my recorder lesson early doors after quite a long gap over Christmas and the snowy days.  I haven't practised very often so was surprised to enjoy my 45 minutes as much as I did.  We are still working on the Handel Sonata, four very different sections.

The remainder of the day has been spent on jobs around the house and preparing and cooking dinner before I set out to meet the Hobblers for a convivial evening in the Fleece.
