Bromeliad flower

Yet again I am posting my blip late. Not late if (magically) I could be in Scotland, or many other places on the other side of the Date line. Tuesday was a busy family day, and my walk was brisk and abbreviated slightly. I saw little that appealed as a photo when out. Wandering around the property after getting back I saw this flower stalk on one of the bromeliads. I don't recall paying any attention to these before.
