A little bit of summer

My random B word for today is B= Brief, and my chosen subject B= Butterfly.

We have had a brief hot spell this morning, with blue skies and bright sunlight. It is already cloudier. Newspaper reports of an unbearable heatwave returning to England usually mean London and the South, the only places with any clout in the media. Here in the North we are usually several degrees cooler.

Brief also refers to the length of stay of the butterflies on any individual flower, so I had some fun chasing round the garden.
