Being Taken For A Ride?

This is the 3rd (or is it 4th) time next door has had these people try and stop the Starlings getting into their eaves and ripping out the insulation ... as well as making a racket. Why he removed the coping tiles I have no idea as there is no way they can get in there.
I hope she isn't paying for the return visits.

We had a chap come round very promptly when SWMBO phoned him about having our en-suite redone. He is local with his own business and comes highly recommended.
He was also very quick and efficient in measuring up, finding out what we wanted and knowing quantities of what would be required.
He will be in touch with a proper quote in the next few days.

This afternoon we had another bloke round for a quote. He was from a national company that advertises on the TV. He was just taking the pi**..... 
An hour and a half, intending on doing half of what the other guy was talking about, claiming a new pump is over £1000 (the most expensive I could find on-line was about £600). He came up with a discounted price of £14,444  - that was 20% and no VAT............
