The monsters are coming...
Went for a walk earlier from the other gate of our local park, at the opposite side of our village to the one I use usually. So walked a bit further than usual.
In the eerie mist (trouser filler weather this afternoon), I happened upon 3 massive tractors lifting and hauling felled tree trunks, one blocked where I wanted to go and another was driving along the path I was on and I had to move to one side. Apparently they are doing some environmental work in the park. Thinning out the trees and selling the wood on to local companies. As well as some tidying up.
Being on the edge of the marshes I imagine things deteriorate after a while.
All the way round my back was playing up, so I was glad to come home to a nice hot dark chocolate and a small piece of the cake my Dutch friend Annemarie made me for my birthday. Apparently a typical Dutch recipie of cinnamon, apple and raisins. Very moist.
