Melbourne
By the time we woke this morning Hugh had already been fishing for a number of hours, and would have stayed all day if he could have. He was the most popular person on the jetty given he was catching the most fish and couldn't take them home. After leaving we had a look at the race track. We weren't allowed to drive around it like you can at Bathurst because there were sports cars doing laps at full pace. We also went past a number of houses from the TV show "The Block". This meant absolutely nothing to me, but Adelaide would have broken in to look around if we'd let her. After this we went to Melbourne. On coming out of the toilet before lunch Jane asked Hugh if he'd washed his hands. He had. "Smell test" she said, and poked out her nose. She must have smelled soap, because she then gave Hugh permission to hold her new toy dog "Snowy", which he hadn't actually asked for but accepted gratefully. We then visited the old gaol and had a good look around all the cells and gallows. A very well built structure, but not with comfort in mind! After this we saw Ned Kelly's actual armour which you can see for free at the library, and then went and had a milkshake. It was at this time that Adelaide gave me some useful education on teenage girls jewellery fashion at the shop Lovisa. I trade the stock Lovisa (LOV), and naturally take an interest in the company which has a penchant for lavish displays of jewellery in their annual reports. I must admit I'd never visited a store though, and Adelaide's tour was most insightful. Anyway, now we've left Melbourne and are up in Echuca. It's hot here. Hopefully tomorrow isn't too bad.
