Old New Build!

Mauzee and I have been watching with great interest at the progress of the house that is under construction for almost two years now.  Apparently the architect involved wanted it to be a standout and a design that would be their ultimate work.  On closer inspection today I can honestly say I don’t think the owners will be moving in anytime soon.  The building site looks deserted and the interior hasn’t even been started yet.  Many builders have gone out of business in Australia and there is an expectation that many more will do so this year as well.  The cost of building materials have skyrocketed and lack of supply are the main reasons apparently.  The new owners will have a wonderful view right down to the mouth of the river but at this stage it’s a picnic lunch on the lawn for them.
The benches you can see standing at the river bank are put there for fishermen to clean their fish.  As you can see from this image, it was a clear blue sky in Augusta today and 28 degrees.  The temperature made it to 44 degrees in Perth so we were happy to by in good old “Gusty” Augusta :)
