Iris unguicularis 'Peloponnese Snow'

I arrived home just after 1am, a planned late journey which was free of any traffic delays.  As I finished unloading, a couple of flowers on this iris caught my eye.  It's the same plant that produced it's very first flower on the day mum died.  Now, following a few nice days, there are two flowers and multiple buds soon to open.  I snapped a quick pic at lunchtime.

After a long lie in a day of a few chores, laundry and unpacking mostly, before a dog walk and a short spell glazing at pottery.  I will do more of that tomorrow.   I had put a tasty casserole in the slow cooker after breakfast which has warmed me this evening.   Still very tired I will be taking it fairly easy for a couple more days.

Belated big thank you to everyone for the gifts and messages left for last week's blip milestone and on the day of Mum's funeral.
