A single seed

Despite the forecast we have, in the end, had some much needed moments of sunshine today.  For various reasons I haven't had any time for proper bird blipping, but I rather loved this single seed left on the dried head of what I'm assuming is hogweed (heracleum sphondylium).  And look, are those red go-faster stripes I see  ;-))

The rest of the day has been largely taken up worrying and trying to sort family problems - and oh boy are there a lot of them!  Never mind, onwards and upwards..
