Moving on

The second Sunday in Epiphany today but the first time our church has been open since Christmas. Good to see everyone.

I noticed the church flowers which, I think, cleverly combine the coming season of Spring with the tulips and a bit of sparkle with the silver sprayed sea holly remembering Christmas and the coming of the Kings in Epiphany. Talented flower ladies.

Similarly I’m moving on from Christmas, finishing my Christmas marmalade this morning on my breakfast toast and making a casserole for tea that I usually make around this time of year as it uses up leftover Cranberry sauce. 
I wish I could say we are moving into Spring but there’s a long way to go. A very dull and cold day today with a temperature averaging 0 degrees C.  At least there’s no ice!
