Go West…

…..after yesterday’s adventures in Newcastle and rural Northumberland, I woke late and feeling just a couple of percentage points short of optimal. There was no time for self-pity as I had a free-weights class at the gym. Nancy came along to observe my suffering.

Then it was home to prep for today’s adventure in Glasgow at the Celtic Connections Festival. We had decided to take the car for this particular gig (later in the month we’ll do another night at the festy but we’ll stay over). Hannah Rarity put on a great show at Drygate Brewery with wonderful music and mirthsome story telling between tunes. I was on their excellent AF IPA. We bumped into family friend Rory Matheson, who plays in the band Fara.

Home now after a long drive to the borderland and I’m ready for a night cap.
