Blue Rocks and Bridgewater
I decided to head towards Bridgewater today so I could have lunch at Arby's. It is the only Arby's location left in Nova Scotia. I took a slower route to get there. I hoped to see some shore birds in the ocean but other than a couple of loons, there was nothing close to shore. I went thru Mahone Bay and Lunenburg but nothing caught my eye so I didn't stop, I continued out to Blue Rocks. It is very much a summer community with a few fishermen that live there year round.
I continued on the Bridgewater to get lunch at Arby's. After I left I stopped at the Carding Mill Museum to get a few photos of the waterfall, it was full of ice.
While I was having lunch I checked for emails and noticed one from one that is coming to brunch tomorrow. She said that she had been on the restaurant website and it said it was temporarily closed. I tried calling them, no answer. So I called Alan to see if he had called them, and he planned to do it later, so I told what Carol had said. Then I called the Dartmouth location to find out what was going on, and they said there had been a fire in the kitchen. I called Alan back to let him know, so we had to find a different place for brunch. I suggested that we go to the restaurant that we went to on New Years Day, they have brunch on the weekends. I called them, but they weren't answering their phone. So I stopped in on my way home, and they are happy to have us there tomorrow.
Rain in the forecast for tomorrow, and some on Monday. Then the temperatures drop for a few days with highs of -10 C and lows near -20 C. for a couple of days.
