Sweet treats

We're in Edinburgh for a few days - T is doing a song writing course Sun/Mon and I thought I'd come down with him to enjoy being a tourist in my former home city.

It's started well with Scottish Ballet's Nutcracker - wonderful performances all round including the young girl dancing Clara, an specially fine hornpipe and a sublime pas de deux from the Sugar Plum Fairy and Nutcracker Prince.  The ending was also rather magical. I'd happily go again..... wait a minute, I am next week in Inverness :-) 

Looking forward to more treats tomorrow.

We were meant to be staying in the Mercure on Princes Street with a view of the  castle  :'-) but it's been sold and is now being refurbished* :-(  but supper provided an alternative Castle view. :-) 

* our booking was transferred to nearby Ibis where we are now enjoying a complimentary glass of wine.
