Darning and dinner
Sue invited me down to learn how to repair my old cashmere cardigan with bright darning to make a colourful patch. It was a therapeutic craft to learn and we had a good chat while mending. I didn’t get all the holes done so she kindly gave me some very thin yarn I can use at home.
For supper I made a too-complicated Meera Sodha cauliflower dish from her book “Dinner”. It was delicious but took too long to prepare. At least I could roast other veg at the same time as the cauliflower. I want to make something tasty tomorrow to take to Lynne on Monday. She is doing well after her open heart surgery but is still very tired so is needing to rest a lot therefore taking a meal for them seems a good plan
