1060 day of war
Hello, friends!
A year ago, I wrote about starting a YouTube channel where I shared tie-dye tutorials, and finally, it has borne its first fruits. I received my first payout from there, and I was finally able to fulfill my dream of upgrading my camera to take better-quality photos and videos. My budget was enough for a used iPhone X, and I’m so happy about it. There are plenty of them on the market now, so I managed to find a good device that’s significantly better than what I was using before. It feels a bit unusual to use since I’ve never owned an iPhone and don’t know how they work, but it turned out to be better than I expected. I always thought these phones were just overpriced, but even older models still work amazingly well, and the camera quality have really impressed me.
It feels incredible when all the hard work starts paying off, and now I can create higher-quality content. So I dyed a lot of T-shirts in a week, and now I'm editing videos.. In my work, showcasing finished products is one of the most crucial aspects, so I think this upgrade will really help me grow and move forward.
Meanwhile, the country is still under almost daily attacks. Today, Zaporizhzhia was heavily shelled. Among the targets were homes, businesses, and even a church—incidentally, one of the Moscow Patriarchate.
It’s so strange and utterly exhausting. In my daily life, I try to detach from the war, the deaths, and the anxieties, but I realize I must write about it. People should not die from missile strikes, under any circumstances. Life in the frontline regions is particularly uncertain, as they are hit more frequently and with a wider variety of weapons.
Zaporizhzhia was the closest major city to Mariupol, and many people fleeing the war stopped there. I know people who stayed there and it saddens me to think about the stress they are living under now. From the very beginning, I understood that I needed to go as far away as possible, which is why I feel safer now. However, I do understand those who stayed behind. Essentially, none of us have anywhere else to go now, and all we can do is wait.
I’m trying to understand if there’s any hope for successful negotiations or if it’s even possible to reach an agreement with someone for whom this war is merely a game and not the real tragedy of millions of people. I read about Putin’s demands regarding possible negotiations, and it seems like he hasn’t changed his stance at all and isn’t willing to make any concessions. His terms seem designed to leave the country with nothing and incapable of resisting, but he must understand that no one would ever agree to that.
It’s all so complicated and uncertain, but I hope a way out of this situation will be found, and this will all come to an end.
Thank you all for your support and help! I truly appreciate it.
