1053 day of war
Hello, friends!
This week, I decided to get back to work after a break, and as soon as I got everything ready for dyeing, I received an order for a T-shirt! It’s a good start to the year because I didn’t expect to get any orders right after the holidays.
Now, there’s a lot of work again, and I’ve spent the whole week dealing with various tasks. At the beginning of the holidays, I found it hard to distract oneself from thoughts about work, but now it’s the opposite—it’s tough to start working again. I’m trying to ease back into the work rhythm and be more productive each day.
I’ve also been trying to follow the news, but I’ve realized it’s not the best time for that. Sometimes it feels like the world has taken a wrong turn. In the country, some say the war will end soon, others predict victory in six months, while others claim Ukraine must join NATO immediately or never join at all for the sake of negotiations. Honestly, I’ve completely stopped understanding what’s happening. Maybe no one fully understands, which is why every new piece of news contradicts the previous one. It feels like everything is in a suspended state.
Amid talks of possible negotiations, the situation on the front has escalated. The Russians are launching offensives to strengthen their positions and continue shelling cities. Recently, two guided bombs hit a residential area in Zaporizhzhia. It’s still hard to comprehend how such things can happen in our time. I simply can’t understand the purpose of this terror and intimidation.
Despite all this uncertainty, society clings to hopes for the end of the war. No one knows how or when it will happen, but I’m waiting for it too. Sometimes it feels like there’s no logical end to this, but I want to believe that’s not true. So much time has passed, and now, just like before, we all have one wish—for the war to end. I believe that day will come. Until then, my goal is to live to see it, and I’m doing everything I can to make that happen.
