Gently down the stream

Hyde Street

No time today for anything lovely like birds and country walks, the day was all spent in the city and on hospital visits (2) and respite care visits (1).  I am utterly exhausted and not yet convinced that things will go to plan, though they badly need to.

This is Hyde Street on my walk into the centre.  From the city end it begins where the medieval North Gate used to stand - I say medieval, but it actually must be quite a lot older than that as on either side of the road was a Roman graveyard.  Romans always buried their dead on either side of the roads leading out of cities/towns.

I'm turning off my comments just for tonight, but will of course visit your journals.  Speak to you tomorrow  xx
