Spoilt for Choice

Was sure I was going to post the view this morning of our washing line olive tree in the frost, but then, leaving our gate for a late afternoon Lula walk, took a photo of the fast diminishing Lake, and now on the laptop, zoomed in to see that what I thought were sheep, are actually geese, so the zoom in main, and the whole view in extra. Loved the late light turning the trees golden (they are actually all green), and getting the geese, who fly away when you get anywhere near.

A night of getting to sleep at gone 4am, not worrying, no idea why. This Guardian article today really helped, have linked to it for those of you who sometimes have the same difficulties. One of the perks of insomnia - looking out of my little window at about 3:30 and seeing such a bright light low down in the west, couldn't imagine it was a planet, so turned on my phone and checked, yes, it was Jupiter; guess it looked so huge because of being right on the horizon, amazing sight, though.

Gratefuls:
- harvesting the last of the tomatoes, and pulling up all the plants, plus the long gone huge basil plants
- making progress with building permission; actually going to take our architect out to lunch tomorrow
- a surprise first phone call from Zion on his new phone
