Peaceful Patterns

We went to Bedgebury National Pinetum and had a wonderful day. The forecast was for overcast skies but we got warm sunshine.   We ate our lunch overlooking the lake, basking in the sun and watching the ducks.

We took a gentle stroll around the pinetum, much to my delight, during which I collected bits of fallen branches with a view to drawing them (I have started). Mr K watched me for a while and then suggested that if I kept this up, I could tie them together and make my own Christmas tree. He just doesn't understand.

Just before coming home, we sat on a bench with our coffee and watched the birds by the lake, still enjoying the bonus sunshine. There was hardly anyone there, it was so peaceful
