Something strange

Do you notice something strange about this photo - by the lake at Bowness. And what about the extra - the A66 below Blencathra?

Although we live close to the Lake District, we rarely go to the hotspots like Keswick or Windermere - far too many vehicles, far too many people. Today, having things to do in Keswick and at Lakeland, we took a chance - along the A66 to Keswick and then through the Lakes to Windermere.

A beautiful sunny day, with not a breath of wind, and the whole trip was a joy. Roads were empty, there were few people about - in Lakeland, by the Lake. Not many days in the year like this - and we found one.

(Great views of the snow-capped mountains, hard to imagine that only a day or so ago they were covered in snow.)
