Ribblehead Viaduct

Day 6 of the Dales High Way. Walking from Chapel-le-Dale to Dent should have been slightly shorter than the previous two days, except that I missed an obvious turning shortly after setting off and turning around added another 2 or 3 Km. I blame the stupefying effect of a excellent but large breakfast!

Looking back, I've realised that I sold yesterday's walk short. It might not have been quite as dramatic as the day before, but it was equal to the best days of many of our long distance walks.

Today was good too, except that the warm muggy weather made it less photogenic. This view is of the famous Ribblehead Viaduct on the Settle to Carlisle railway line.
