Under Control

The village, naturally voluntary, fire brigade is responsible for just about everything, and that includes collecting, preparing, guarding (from theft), and erecting the Maypole on 1st May.

This year we are getting a new one. The fire brigade commander, boss of a ver succesful carpentry business,  bought himself a John Deere mini tractor recently, without doubt, the smallest in the village. But he had to show he could just as easily cope with the task.

This was the last difficult turn with another 200metres to the firebrigade house & where the pole will be erected on Monday
