Frick & Auerbacher the agricultural engineers having said on Monday they couldn't even look at my John Deere until next week, called midday to say it was all done & ready! They always so this to me. Was so looking forward to a week of doing nothing.

As I had expected, the mechanical fuel pump had given up. No big issue. I could have done it myself but was pleased to have the opportunity for it to be checked over in general. The mechanic gave me a detailed tour of all the things he had done and what I needed to do, e.g. doing a good clean out of the cooling water & refill with antifreeze which was very low. There is lots of old rust & muck in the water. Superb.
