Facehugger
Tuesday. It’s cold and dry, but we have sun and blue skies, with some clouds thrown into the mix today. I had a brief morning shift at work, then straight home to Whitfield. I headed out for an afternoon walk along Singledge Lane; the conditions were perfect for this, and on the way back, I captured this image. The silhouetted trees and the telegraph pole caught my attention as I passed. There was something about the odd contraption attached to the pole that was vaguely menacing and reminded me of the facehuggers from the Alien movie franchise.
This evening, my sister Vickie visited us for supper. She’s lived in Brisbane for the last twenty years but is back touring the UK and Europe for a few months and catching up with family and friends. It was great to see her again and spill the tea on a load of family gossip.
