Teeny bit of coal

No coal fire here now, but there is an old coal bunker with some fragments left.
My entry for Tiny Tuesday’s solid/hard theme. 
Formed in the Carboniferous mainly from plants becoming bogs and getting squished. Squish them even more and you get diamonds. But this hard black stuff waited for humans to start digging it up and burning it back into CO2 and H2O until we warmed the planet and we went extinct. Not forgetting the squished animals and more plants that became oil. Sorry, getting ahead of myself there. We might be OK with luck.
