Ash

A timber with many uses, yurt structures, & tool handles being two. I counted the rings on two of the trees with ash dieback that have been felled, one 42, the other 47. Wood is very tactile. Lots of birdsong. Using the Merlin app is brilliant. Not only does it identify the birdsong, it also shows the song recording. This morning the Coal tit was very vocal, it also recorded Robin, Great tit, Blue tit & Blackcap.
An early supermarket shop for Mum & myself at Tesco's. A glorious morning, fabulous sunrise out across the coast, but I was stuck in traffic going into Newton Abbot.
Indie & I did a lap of the heath, then Mum & I walked up to the village hall library to change our jigsaw puzzles. Not much choice with 500piece puzzles, will have to check out the charity shops.
Lunch with hubby then I drove over to Ideford to catch up with Jan.
Duck noodle soup for hubby tonight, I had bubble 'n squeak.
