Restoration

A mild day. No need for a hat or gloves. Birdsong filled the air. A hint of spring to come.

I pruned the two espalier apple trees at the allotment - part of some restorative pruning that will take a few years to complete. I’m happy with how it went and thoroughly enjoyed the process.

This doorway is in the walled garden of a nearby estate. I like its intricate design but the door itself looks as if it could do with some restoration. Perhaps someone will be able to carry it out - what a satisfying thing I imagine it would be to do.
