I’m afraid the best I can do today is a photo of the roasted butternut squash, spinach and goat’s cheese quiche that I made for supper. It’s been a full day, starting with a visit to the Atrium to deliver more stock, accompanied (yay!) by Smithers, who suggested he came with me so that we could have a coffee together, now that the weather has turned a tad warmer. When we arrived we were joined by an old friend who spotted Smithers with me and came over to chat, and it was great to see Smithers enjoying her company.
After half an hour or so our chatting was interrupted by a buzz on my watch – it was our handyman friend from church, who said he was five minutes away and could he pop in to do the jobs we’d booked him for. Yes, I said, we're in the Atrium, give us five minutes to walk home!
He duly completed lots of little tasks that are beyond me and Smithers, and then after he’d gone we had a lovely visit from our daughter-in-law and a good old chat. After that I made the quiche. No photos taken today up until then, so the quiche it is.
