The mojo returns!
I was able to take nine newly designed greetings cards up to the Atrium at lunchtime to help fill the gaps in the card stand that appeared while I was so busy making Christmas cards.
First I printed off the background to the cards, then added stamped and die cut embellishments, ribbons, butterflies and stick-on ‘pearls’. I did enjoy making them, and hope my customers will approve. They take a lot longer than the cards that are just printed without any embellishments, but I like to try and provide a bit of variety.
There are three of us ladies from church who make the cards to fill the stand. Sadly, one of the ladies, Pat, died very suddenly a week ago, and she will be very much missed. She was an amazing lady, who was closely involved in The Good Shepherd Project, a charity helping street children in Brazil, providing safe homes for them to live in, offering them an education and helping them steer clear of gangs and drug abuse. Our friend had visited the project many times, and had also taken teams of young people from our church to volunteer on a short-term basis. She was awarded the MBE for her charitable work a few years ago and although she was single and had no children of her own, she leaves a wonderful legacy for all the children who are being helped through The Good Shepherd Project.
