Gently down the stream

Cetti's

Saw this Cetti's warbler early this morning down the track on the Nuns' Stream.  Met a friend who'd been watching goldcrests there, also chiffchaffs.  Well I saw the chiffchaffs and a wren in the same spot as the Cetti's but not the goldcrests.  Still, for a very brief outing it felt successful.  Cetti's are very secretive birds and although you often hear their unmistakable cries across the reedbeds, I've only managed to see/blip them a handful of times.  I've also put in an extra of the reeds looking rather wonderful in the mist, just opposite where I blipped the main.

Back in the house by 9.30am and then went with my other sis up to the hospital.  I think big sis is being looked after well, so I hope she'll fully recover, but won't be out until at least the weekend and will then need respite care.  Thank you for all your very kind thoughts.

And that's about it from me.  Have a good evening, all  xx
