The Pensioner

Muriel's old gaff

Sorry, I’m too busy to blip. To talk, even. It’s this summerhouse, isn’t it. When I’m not doing it, I’m thinking about it. I’m thinking about it on my way to the recycling bins (above), on the way to get the Sunday Papers, and probably even whilst watching Nosferatu along at OT.
I thought it was quite promising to begin with (the film) - but then Eggers dials it up to No.11 the whole time and it becomes quite tiresome. The hysteria. Of course, the original had a fair bit of that, but it was 1922 and probably (doh) quite novel. And it had a proper scary ghoul too. Why bother remaking it? More to the point, why bother going to watch it? In my defence I haven’t been applying myself. I’ve been distracted. I wonder if I need a longer ladder…. hmmm...
