Candelabra

At Christmas our carol service was to be described as "candlelit" so I lent two of my candelabras. This one is 4' high with sconces for 5 candles. They had taken out my plain dark green candles that go with my decor and replaced them with white which was to be expected BUT I have never seen such drippy candles as these! The base was covered in wax, I hate to think what the sandstone floor was like.

On Friday night we had a power cut which was due to go on for a few hours. We reached for the candles. No! Not these ones! I wanted these for a blip. Fortunately I keep a few candles around the house, not all had gone back in the loft with the decorations.

Today we went to the holiday lodge to start packing up things in preparation for our kitchen and flooring replacement.
