View across to Funchal

Long day. Left home at 4.30, bus at 5am to Bristol. Novelty was seeing the dawn! Building site at Bristol airport! Had a very expensive breakfast in the airport as we knew we would not arrive till after 15.00! Very fresh when we left and after a good flight we were advised that the wind had veered and we may not be able to land! After circling three times we were very fortunately given permission to land as the wind had changed again! There was a huge cheer from the passengers as we landed! Looking forward to a good sleep tonight!
