Thick ice

No sign of the temperature improving by much though I think it did make it all the way to +1! No sunshine either though it had been forecast.

We decided to wrap up well & brave a walk "up the road" anyway.

We climbed up onto the riverbank ..... thankfully the water level has gone back almost to 'normal' but it had left a lot of thick ice behind!

You can see by the extent & thickness of the ice just how much higher the water reached & just how cold it has been!

Hopefully the temperature will rise a bit more soon!
