Seed Capsules

Well the cold and bright weather of recent days has given way to slightly less cold (hovering around freezing rather than minus) and it is somewhat grey and dull.

I set off on my walk this morning and after a few minutes it started raining - not heavily thankfully - but I did return to get my waterproof jacket!

Along the way I spotted these fascinating little seed pods/capsules. I don’t recognise them, but Google tells me they are from a campion - so I guess they could be either white or red!

The snow is beginning to recede - hopefully it will be warmer tomorrow to melt it completely!
