I don't go there very often, something I should change as It's a beautiful village in a lovely setting.  Today, bizarrely I went twice.

After pancake breakfast with Jamie, Meg and I went for a walk with M and Oscar, a dog met a couple of years ago and fairly quickly settled into a companionable walk with today.   It was a lovely morning, the sun breaking through as we walked by the Dysynni.  We were warm when we got back to the cars.   After dropping off the dogs we had lunch in a restaurant overlooking the Dyfi estuary, this the view when we finally came out after much lively conversation.  It was so nice that back in Tywyn we took the dogs out again along the seafront for an hour so we all got some decent exercise today.

I was not home long before it was time to go out to a fundraising evening for Odyssey, a charity that works with cancer survivors.  Two short talks from local people who have done out of the ordinary things.   Tonight a chap who cycled solo from Canada to Mexico after training in the Dysynni valley and my friend Sue whose childhood love of penguins led her to visit the Falkland Islands and South Georgia.  Two entertaining, inspiring and beautifully illustrated talks.

A fine day all round ... and touch wood, I am still feeling better.
