A Host
... of winter daffodils. Narcissus romieuxii, grown in a pot in the greenhouse. In the cool of winter the little flowers last a long time. Each one is about an inch across.
A day trip to Bangor for an AGS meeting. The narcissus and a few other flowering plants came with me and were much admired. Only a small turnout for a midwinter meeting with some folk who live 'off grid' still frozen in. Feeling much brighter and less sore in the sinuses, it did me a power of good to be meeting up with like minded friends. It was our AGM, albeit no votes today because too few were present but some lively and useful discussion to help form future plans. Then refreshments and three short presentations from members, each one quite different. Fun and just what I needed. On the way home - it's an almost two hour run - a short notice request came in to cover a talk at the local garden club next week, something else to look forward to.
Jamie having Meg sat this afternoon, stayed for tea and telly after. A nice day all round :-)
