The day before the great day

Up early to kick off the great Ottawacker Jr. birthday week with breakfast at Allô Mon Coco. It’s a smallish chain with a branch in our local mall, so it wasn’t much of a jog to get down there. By “jog”, I obviously mean sitting in the car and driving. Home for an Ottawacker Jr. shower (it is almost his birthday), then I dropped him off at school and came back to attack the somewhat massive Honeydew List amassing in my inbox. 
For much of the day, I managed to do some good work. Then, early afternoon, came the inevitable screech to a halt. Inevitable, as I say, yet I still seem to imagine I am capable of going full pelt for a full day, despite never having managed it once. Well, maybe once. But, at least today, I managed to get some of the chores off my list. That seems to be an achievement these days.
 
The evening was somewhat quiet. Everyone seems tired. We watched a movie and all had an early night.
