The Guildhall

Decision time. We're booked into our hotel until tomorrow, but on looking at the weather forecast and the news on TV this morning, it became apparent that we're more likely to get home safely if we go today. A shame to go back early, but c'est la vie!
We packed our bags and after a stroll round Much Wenlock - the first time we've seen it in daylight - we bough some food for lunch and set off for home.

MrM had worked out the best route avoiding very high and very low ground, and the journey wasn't as bad as anticipated, though we passed through a lot of serious flooding along the way. Nearer home the snow got deeper but, thankfully, the main roads were clear. Surprisingly, the Strines Inn road across the moors was the best of the lot! And the most difficult bit was getting up the steep camber on the road leading to our house!

Once home we unpacked, and then walked through snow and ice to the local shop - a very long way round on the cliff track - for some essentials.

When we sat down to watch TV this evening I just couldn't get warm though the room wasn't cold. Hoping I'm not sickening for something.
