False Turkey Tail
Stereum ostrea
I think I'm right that this is false turkey tail rather than turkey tail fungus. I couldn't see the underside to be certain. It's growing on a decaying log in one of the local wildlife gardens. Correction welcome as I'm trying to learn more about fungi.
Don't go large on this - it's a bit blurry.
Today's tasks:
Plant the chilli seeds which I didn't do last week. Tried to do it yesterday but the compost was frozen solid.
Make spinach and feta parcels - a recipe kindly shared by Blipper AnnieBelle
Make a tagine for tomorrow to use up the preserved lemons in the fridge
Clean some jewellery
Clean the kitchen after all of the above
Do some trustee work
Try to track down my great, great, great grandmother Christina (or possibly Christian) Munn or Duncan. She makes a couple of appearances in the records but is mostly under the radar. It's mysterious because I have an ambrotype photograph of her - though in family records she's called Christina Colville. Strange.
