On This Day

Bucephala clangula

So pleased to see this handsome diver today. I saw one on the river this time last year and I hoped there might be a visit again this year. Otherwise bird life was pretty dull this morning.

It's so mild! I knew that the cold spell was coming to an end but what a temperature rise. There's still plenty of time for winter to bite us but for now it's an opportunity to open a few windows and air the house.

Until I go to 'an hour of calm' yoga tonight I have an empty diary. That's quite unusual for me but I have plenty to do to prepare for three busy days on the horizon. A cup of coffee first though.
