To thaw or not to thaw
We have been very fortunate here in our part of Edinburgh. The snow etc have not been any worse than this. Tomorrow though the thaw is due to start so I thought It'd take a cold morning picture. I'm not sure whether the frost will still be here or not.
We may not have had snow, but the birds have been appreciative of warm water in the bird bowl every morning not that it stayed warm for long. The robin in particular has been very visible.
Today I had a slow start which was rather nice. I headed off to the Gyle at around 11.30 to meet Ali and the girls. She had an appointment with Bonnie so Josie and I wandered off to look in the shops and buy a card for their Uncle John for his birthday. She loved the cheap shops and looking at all the sparkly reduced price Christmas decorations.
We came back here for lunch after which both girls went for a nap. To our amusement when Ali went to bring Josie down, she said "No thank you mummy, I think I'm still tired so I'm going to sleep a bit longer ".
We had a quiet evening in, the Dean is coming to meet with the Vestry tomorrow after church for some progress reports. We must be about ready to advertise now!
