Spot the woodpecker!

We had the most wonderful frosty sunrise this morning over the housetops from our bedroom window, but I’ve blipped one of those not long ago, so instead I offer you a shot of our back garden. This was taken just after breakfast, when ‘earth stood hard as iron, water (in the bird bath) like a stone’.

It was only when I looked more closely at the photo on my iPad that I realised that there’s a great spotted woodpecker perched on the trunk of the twisted hazel tree. I’m not sure if you’ll be able to see her (I think its a female), but she’s just to the left of the top of the feeder on the far right.
