Houton Bay

Thanks to everyone who popped along yesterday with stars, hearts, cheques, picnic hampers, cigars and pleas to cease.  Everyone’s encouragement is truly appreciated.  It was just as my Careers Teacher warned me.    The boys came round today for the first listening session of the year.  They ventured in from Burray / Kirkwall and even Quoyloo.  As they left this view greeted them.  We stood transfixed, another fine frosty day.  For Completists (look away now) amongst music played was Blue Rose Code / Mark Guiliana / Metheney-Mehldau / Charles Mingus / Brian Auger / Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver / Catriona McKay / Baobab / Saltfishforty / EST / Nils Petter Molvaer / Gil Scott Heron / Ashley Maher / Patrick Watson / Minutemen / Jan Garbarek / Grandaddy / Can.  Once again, this very evening, my recipe book will be at its ease as we are going out for a meal with our hosts in Stenness.  Apparently, post prandial, there will be a stiff session of hunt the slipper.  What’s that burning smell?  I think my algorithms are overheating.
