Snow bird

It was definitely warmer this morning when I went out to the garden to empty the ice out of the containers and fill them with fresh water for the birds. It snowed a little bit on a couple of occasions too. With heavy cloud cover now, the forecast for overnight is above zero for the first time in ages and it should be much warmer tomorrow. Well done to the little birds, like this Chaffinch, hopefully the worst of the winter is over for them.
