Repair Shop

This morning, one of the shepherds from our Nigerian Nativity set was found to have fallen down the back of the bookcase on which the Epiphany scene is currently being enacted - and most unfortunately, his head was found to have fallen off! (Do we suspect foul play from one of the other characters in the scene...?)

In any case, an urgent repair was required, and, following the principles enunciated by the various practitioners in a certain BBC series, I used my Swiss Army Knife to trim off all the remains of the old glue and create a clean joint for fixing the head back in place with some PVA adhesive - hence the rather alarming picture you see here!

As you can see from today's 'Extras', the repair was successful, enabling our 'lost shepherd' to quickly rejoin the scene before everything is packed away for another year.
