Breakfast Bars

And not, as you possibly thought upon  first glance, bird seed cake. I've made  oat, fruit and seed mix. It's yet to be cut into bars because it's just out of the oven and still hot. It should be sustaining and it doesn't have sugar in it. Well, fruit sugar. The sweetness comes from dates made into a purée to hold all the healthy stuff together. We'll see tomorrow morning how it tastes. Possibly a bit worthy?  I'm  fed up with overnight oats, porridge etc. though so this will make a nice change and it's all ingredients I had waiting to be used. 

Much milder today, though still cold. The frost is slowly melting. That's when we really need to get the gritters working because the pavements will be icy. 

A domestic day. I have such a lot of tidying up to do. There's no excuse really except that it is 'out of sight, out of mind'.
